The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients’ needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring effective functional treatment programs to facilitate a return to community activities while serving as an educator for patients, families, and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Ensure medical record documentation is clear, concise, accurate, and timely.
- Participate in the student program as assigned, providing supervision and evaluations.
- Create individualized professional development plans and pursue continuing education.
- Adhere to discipline‑specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
- Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active license for the state where work will be performed.
Schedule
This position involves a 5x8.0 shift schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13‑week contract position.
