The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. This role serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while also adhering to the professional codes of conduct and upholding compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in a student program, providing supervision and development of learning objectives.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to discipline‑specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active/applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
