The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients, develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and goals, under physician direction. Responsible for guiding all discipline‑specific therapy services for assigned patients, the therapist ensures effective return to community activities through functional treatment programs. The role also involves educating patients, families, students, and coworkers, while upholding the organization’s compliance standards and professional code of conduct.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient progress.
- Document patient care clearly, accurately, and timely in compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Supervise students, providing a positive learning environment and completing evaluations.
- Create an individualized professional development plan and actively pursue education opportunities.
- Adhere to State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule with guaranteed hours.
