Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist in Lancaster, Ohio, for a 13-week contract. The PT will execute a comprehensive plan of care to rehabilitate patients with disease- or injury-related disabilities and work in a team-driven environment.

You will evaluate patients, document treatments, and supervise PT assistants and students while contributing to department goals and patient satisfaction initiatives. Ohio licensure is required; prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and eligible for Ohio licensure.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Ohio.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish appropriate treatment goals.
• Plan and carry out treatment plans with accurate documentation.
• Supervise PT Assistants and PT Technicians per state laws and department policies.
• Assist the manager with budgeting, department goals, and staff education to improve patient satisfaction.
• Supervise and mentor volunteers or students per APTA guidelines.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will conduct a physical therapy plan of care to facilitate the rehabilitation of patients suffering from disabilities caused by disease, injury, dysfunction, or other physical, cognitive, or perceptual limitations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and establish appropriate treatment goals.
• Plan and carry out treatment plans, documenting evaluations and treatments accurately and timely.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Attendants in accordance with state laws and department work instructions.
• Assist the manager with budgeting, yearly department goals, revising work instructions, in-service training and education, and improving patient satisfaction survey scores.
• Supervise and mentor volunteers and/or students according to department work instructions and APTA guidelines.

Required Experience

One year of experience preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and possess a valid license to practice in the state of Ohio.
