Job summary

Stop & Shop"s pharmacy internship program is designed for third-year pharmacy students eager to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting at our Staten Island location. Interns will assist pharmacists with patient care, vaccines, and medication management while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced community pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy program is required.
• Eligibility to administer vaccinations must be maintained.
• Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists in providing outstanding patient care in line with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with pharmacy operations including prescription processing, MTM, and immunizations under supervision.
• Use dispensing software to manage patient and medication information.
• Engage with customers, answer questions, assist with product location to ensure a positive visit.
• Help maintain an organized, well-stocked pharmacy with inventory management and storage.
• Support pharmacy team operations, including POS transactions and general administrative tasks.

What we ask of you:

• Support pharmacists in providing outstanding patient care in line with state and federal regulations
• Assist with pharmacy operations - including prescription processing, medication therapy management, and immunizations - under the supervision of a pharmacist

The hourly pay range is $19.00-$23.00/hr and will be based on year in college.
