Job summary

Stop & Shop in Meriden, CT is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacists in delivering compassionate patient care while you advance your pharmacy training. You will assist with prescription processing, MTM, and immunizations under supervision, using our dispensing software, and interact with customers to ensure a positive visit.

This role is ideal for a third-year student seeking real-world experience in a community pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy program with vaccination eligibility.
• Valid Pharmacy Intern license in good standing.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work under supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists in providing outstanding patient care in line with state and federal regulations.
• Assist with prescription processing and immunizations under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Use dispensing software to help manage patient and medication information.

What we ask of you:

• Support pharmacists in providing outstanding patient care in line with state and federal regulations
• Assist with pharmacy operations - including prescription processing, medication therapy management, and immunizations - under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Use our pharmacy dispensing software to help manage patient and medication information
• Engage with customers by answering questions, assisting with product location, and helping ensure every visit is a positive one
• Help maintain an organized and well-stocked pharmacy by assisting with inventory management and product storage
• Support pharmacy team operations, including point-of-sale transactions and general administrative tasks
• Uphold company policies, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive work environment
• Take part in special assignments and learning opportunities as directed by the pharmacist

What you bring to the table:

• A genuine interest in supporting the health and well-being of others
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a caring and collaborative approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy program, with eligibility to administer vaccinations
• A valid Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with your state's Board of Pharmacy.
• Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including evenings and weekends

The hourly pay range is $19.00-$23.00/hr and will be based on year in college.
