Job summary

Stop & Shop in Naugatuck, CT is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in patient care, medication management, and immunizations within a community-focused setting.

You will gain hands-on experience in prescription processing, MTM, and customer service while working under a licensed pharmacist. A strong team spirit and flexible schedule are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy program; eligibility to administer vaccinations.
• A valid Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with your state's Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists in providing outstanding patient care in line with state and federal regulations
• Assist with pharmacy operations - including prescription processing, medication therapy management, and immunizations - under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Use our pharmacy dispensing software to help manage patient and medication information
• Engage with customers by answering questions and helping locate products
• Help maintain an organized and well-stocked pharmacy through inventory management and storage
• Support pharmacy team operations, including POS transactions and general administrative tasks
• Uphold company policies and contribute to a welcoming work environment
• Take part in special assignments and learning opportunities as directed by the pharmacist

Hourly Rate: $19.00

• This position is governed under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Eligibility for union benefits, including health and welfare benefits, pension plans, and other negotiated programs, will depend on the terms of the applicable contract.
