Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect SOP.
• Perform QA steps to ensure accuracy of prescriptions.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Oversee third-party claim submissions and collections.
• Manage and balance pharmacy inventory for cost efficiency.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional relationships with physicians.
• Ensure a clean, professional pharmacy environment and appropriate records.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers at all times.
• Interface with auditors and external agencies as needed.
• Complete mandatory regulatory training and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers

Job Duties

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
• Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
• Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claims
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
• Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
• Insure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
• Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
• Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
• Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
• Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
• Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
• Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
• Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test

Education

• Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
