Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect Standard of Practice.
• Perform QA steps to ensure technically accurate prescriptions and report dispensing incidents.
• Comply with state and federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
• Oversee submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claims.
• Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to maximize turns and maintain stock.
• Maintain prescription files and other records per guidelines.
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
• Enforce Loss Prevention policies and report deviations.
• Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
• Develop professional relationships with doctors and health professionals.
• Stay informed on developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services and apply them.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and facilitate communication between staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assist in meeting budgetary sales guidelines and operate within them.
• Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
• Complete mandatory regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers

Job Duties

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
• Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
• Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claims
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
• Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
• Insure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
• Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
• Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
• Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
• Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
