PHYSICAL THERAPIST OR ATHLETIC TRAINER FOR US SNOWBOARD HALFPIPE TEAM - CONTRACTOR
CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal Contract
REPORTS TO:Director of Performance Medical Services
LOCATION:Park City, Utah or Remote
TRAVEL: up to 80%
The purpose of the US Ski and Snowboard Sports Medicine Department is to support the vision of making the United States of America the best in the world in Olympic skiing and snowboarding. We strive to do this by providing athlete medical management both in health and in return from injury, safety in event organization and equipment. In this respect, the primary role of this position is to oversee the management and coordination of athlete care with respect to all medically related issues for named athletes on their respective team while utilizing outside expertise and rotational support when necessary.

Provide athlete treatment / rehabilitation servicesOn hill coverage of all training and competitions as determined by the team scheduleDocumentation, communication, and facilitation of athlete medical managementExtensive international travelAssisting with insurance claims surrounding injuriesCoordination with U.S. Ski & Snowboard staff and volunteer medical providersParticipation in sports medicine special projects pertaining to injury, risk mitigation, and performance medicineAdministrative responsibilities include assisting with insurance claims surrounding injuries, injury updates, coverage at the Center of Excellence when needed, attendance of required educational activities, participation in Medical/High performance meetings and additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
