Job summary

Edgewater Missoula is seeking a Night Auditor to oversee nightly financial transactions, postings, and balance sheets while delivering exceptional guest service. Responsibilities include checking in/out guests, reconciling credit card activity, and enforcing audit policies.

  • Audit, post and balance daily cashiers' work for outlets including Rooms and F&B.
  • Check-in/out guests and assist with invoice issues and service recoveries.
  • Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists.
  • Establish and implement night audit policies and maintain policy compliance.
  • Handle guest registration, input data, rates, keys, and promotions.

Job description

ANight Auditor, is responsible foroverseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactionsto support the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest serviceand financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Audit,post and balance daily cashiers' work for outlets including, but notlimited to, outlets in Rooms and Food and Beverage
  • Checkin/out hotel guests and assist all guests with invoice issues and servicerecoveries
  • Ensurecredit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists
  • Establishand implement hotel night audit policies and procedures, maintainingcompliance with company policies and standards
  • Greetguests and complete the registration process to include, but not limitedto, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmationof guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronickeys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet andensuring guest knows location of room.
  • Assistguests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms andservices are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handlingmoney, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording variousforms of payment, converting foreign currency, making change andprocessing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstratea thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to,room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area andother general product knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries.
  • Useup-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and tomaximize room occupancy.
  • Respondto guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendlyand efficient manner.
  • Fieldguest complaints conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions forguest satisfaction.
  • Receive,input, retrieve and relay messages to guests.
