Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT seeks a temporary, on-site Physical Therapist for 40 hours/week. The role is within Outpatient Services and involves comprehensive PT evaluation and treatment with mentorship for new graduates.

Responsibilities include teamwork with an interdisciplinary group, documentation, patient family education, and supervision of support staff, with a focus on clinical growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current Connecticut licensure or temp CT license.
• Preferred: CPR certification.
• Preferred: APTA membership.
• Preferred: MHS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document PT interventions.
• Collaborate with health care team and educate staff, patients, families.
• Supervise PT assistants, aides, volunteers, and students.
• Mentor for newly graduated or entry level clinicians.
