Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer for Woodcliff Hotel & Spa to oversee grounds, public areas and guest rooms, performing preventative maintenance and responding quickly to orders.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in hotel maintenance with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge, plus solid communication and math skills. Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three years in a hotel maintenance position preferred.
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms.
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain spare parts and bulbs.
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfills work orders promptly and completes daily rounds, reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner

• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
