Job summary

Luzerne County Community College is seeking a seasonal program coordinator for the SHINE program.   • Communicate with parents about behavior, events, attendance; log results.
  • Organize monthly Family Nights and finalize STEAM activities.
  • Complete and upload weekly lesson plans; maintain SHINE phone.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings; conduct student evaluations.
  • Conduct monthly safety drills and track daily attendance.

Job DetailsPosition Type: SeasonalEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $30.00 HourlyLimited hourly contract not to exceed 500 hours for a contract year; working hours are Monday through Thursday for 3 hours per day after the conclusion of the standard school day at the center; ensure the overall successful function of the program each day; serve as the main point of contact between SHINE office staff and center; collaborate with Program Director in development of STEAM projects; supervise teaching assistant and paraprofessional staff to assure they are actively involved in all programming; primary enforcer of the SHINE Behavior Policy and Student discipline; communicated with parents and families regarding behavior issues, SHINE news, and upcoming events including monthly family dinners, homework completion, and attendance while logging results of all contacts; participate in mandatory staff meetings as scheduled; conduct student evaluations; track daily attendance and submit weekly to SHINE office staff; complete and upload weekly lesson plans by start of the each week; maintain possession of SHINE phone during the duration of the program daily; conduct mandatory monthly safety drills as established by the SHINE office; organize and conduct monthly Family Nights and finalize STEAM activities; communicated with parents and families regarding family dinners, cancellations, and date changes; provide food vendor completed food delivery paperwork;

Qualifications
