Job summary

The National Sports Center in Blaine, MN is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Assistant for the 2026 outdoor season. You will help set up an 18-hole golf course and 50+ athletic fields and campus grounds, ensuring safety and high-quality turf.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation help, seeding, mulching, and field prep for events. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work weekends or evenings as needed, and follow safety practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of golf course and athletic field maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment.
• Willingness to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying weather and shift times.
• No degree required.

Responsibilities

• Daily setup of the golf course and athletic fields.
• Mowing and maintaining turf.
• Assist irrigation maintenance.
• Marking and painting athletic fields.
• Mulching, weeding, pruning landscape beds.
• Hand trimming and seeding/sodding projects.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Support events before, during, and after.
