Job summary

Marshall & Sons Service Station Inc. is seeking a Gas Station Attendant to greet customers, provide information, pump gas for full-service customers, and assist with store and garage operations.

You will ring up sales, manage house accounts, handle currency, answer phones, and ensure products are fresh with proper dating. Full-time or part-time roles are available with benefits for full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions; assist with product selection.
• Pumps gas for full-service customers.
• Wash windows and check oil for full-service customers.
• Unload deliveries and stock shelves; ensure freshness and FIFO.
• Ring up customers at registers and manage house accounts.
• Take emergency road service requests and dispatch to appropriate person.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of store and yard.
• Follow safety, sanitation guidelines and company policies.

Gas Station Attendant

Greets shoppers, answers questions, and helps them find products

Pumps gas for full service

Offers to wash windows and check oil for all full service customers

Learns list of house account customers

Learns safety & environmental procedures for operating in a gas station environment & follows protocol

Accurately rings up house account customers

Answers phones

Makes appointments for the garage

Takes emergency road service requests & dispatches to appropriate person

Rings up customers for the garage

Rings up customers for the store

Keeps track of House Accounts

Makes sure not to sell any restricted items to underage people

Cards customers as necessary

Learns about new products quickly and makes recommendations

Unloads daily deliveries and organizes the stock room

Stocks shelves and displays

Makes sure that all products are fresh and within the expiration date. Puts items on date order, First in First out

Cleans and sanitizes assigned area daily, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting

Keeps outdoor spaces neat & clean, empties garbages, keeps washer fluid reservoirs full, sweeps lot as necessary, assists with gardens, pruning, mulching

Washes trucks & assists with light mechanical work

Helps with heavy lifting of large tires, pushing disabled vehicles, towing & beach/off-road recovery. May include digging, pulling, pushing, lifting, bending.

Ability to work on your own or in a team

Polite & courteous manner with customers, coworkers, managers & owners

Follows written and verbal instructions from managers

Assists with other departments as needed

Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies

Full or Part Time Available

Experience with handling US currency, making change, operating a register, selling age-restricted items is a plus
