Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks a part-time PT UACS Garden/Nutrition Educator to support after-school programs at a local K-12 Philadelphia public school. You will design and run youth-centered garden and nutrition activities, supervise students, and work with Penn staff to expand our University-Assisted Garden/Nutrition curricula.

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred in education, environment, or culinary fields.
• Experience: at least 1 year with elementary-aged children or high school youth development.
• Ability to engage youth in garden and cooking activities.
• Background checks and state/federal clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Engage K-12 students and university students in garden and nutrition activities.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Plan and implement enrichment activities with staff and students.
• Supervise students and ensure safety at all times.
• Support delivery of academic instruction and curricula as assigned.
