Job summary

Food Lion stores are seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service at the checkout and assist customers with purchases in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers by name when possible, handling cash and payments, bagging items, and ensuring front-end areas are clean and organized. Training will cover CBT modules and store procedures to uphold Food Lion standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and the technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and greet customers.
• Assist with front-end operations and maintain a neat, clean checkout area.
• Handle cash, refunds, coupons, and other payment methods per policy.
• Assist customers with To-Go orders and carry-to-car services when applicable.
• Follow bagging procedures and ensure accurate scanning and payment processing.
• Maintain awareness of safety and cleanliness standards in the front-end area.
