Coast Community College District is seeking part-time, temporary faculty to teach courses within its colleges. Instructors must follow established curricula, maintain records, and teach all scheduled classes, including evenings and off-campus options.
Appointments are contingent upon verification, background checks, U.S. work eligibility, and Board approval. Compensation follows the Part-time Faculty Salary Schedule in California, with scheduling coordinated by the supervisor.
Coast Community College District (CCCD) includes Coastline, Golden West, and Orange Coast Colleges, enrolling more than 60,000 students each year in over 300 degree and certificate programs. CCCD offers transfer, general education, occupational/technical, and support services with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity.
Part‑time, temporary appointment contingent upon employment history verification, background check, eligibility to work in the U.S., and approval by the CCCD Board of Trustees. Applicants should live within commuting distance to Orange County. Hours and effective date will be arranged with supervisor. Applicants remain in the hiring pool for one year and are considered for assignments as needs arise. Attendance is essential; failure to meet attendance may result in termination.
Compensation based on Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) in accordance with the current Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule.
