Job summary

Manheim Central School District is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant for Doe Run Elementary in Manheim, PA. You will support Kindergarten through 4th grade learners in the classroom and library, monitor recess and cafeteria, and collaborate with teachers to foster academic and social-emotional development.

The role emphasizes data collection, progress monitoring, and implementation of teacher-designed activities, with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in an educational or structured setting preferred.
• Associate’s degree or two years of postsecondary coursework may be required for Title I-funded positions.
• Ability to meet applicable state and district standards for instructional aides/paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities

• Implements instructional activities and lesson components as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Collects and maintains data on student progress and supports progress monitoring.
• Provides clerical and technical support (photocopying, organizing materials, preparing resources).
• Supports behavior management and documents incidents; refers serious issues as needed.
• Supervises during non-instructional times (recess, lunch, transitions).
• Assists with related services as directed by professionals.
• Participates in staff development to enhance skills and performance.
