Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help people with disabilities learn, work and engage in their communities. Based in a person-supported home, DSPs assist with daily activities, meals, hygiene, and medication administration.

This part-time evening role offers a starting rate of $15 per hour with a tenure pay scale, annual performance bonus, and shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver1s license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities, including meal prep, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
• Facilitate community involvement and support individuals in the community.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance quality of life.

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
