The main responsibility of this role is to handle all deli products, including receiving, processing, preparing, wrapping, slicing, weighing, marking, packaging, and stocking shelves, cases, and bins, while maintaining attractive and properly signed displays.

Responsibilities

1. Provide excellent customer service to consumers, co-workers, vendors, and business associates.
2. Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, mark, and package products.
3. Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, including stocking, cleaning, and rotating products.
4. Maintain proper cooler conditions, including coding, organizing, and cleaning.
5. Keep the prep area clean and sanitized.
6. Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
7. Ensure the sales floor is safe and clean, including sweeping and mopping.
8. Provide friendly and courteous customer service, answering questions and making product recommendations.
9. Dress according to company policy and maintain a neat appearance.
10. Complete required training courses.
11. Report accidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
12. Follow safety procedures, including using PPE and proper lifting techniques.
13. Understand and comply with company policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Effective communication skills and understanding of safety regulations.
• Ability to meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to operate necessary equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum 4-hour shifts, depending on business needs.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for approximately 55% of the time, walk for 45%.
• Work in temperatures ranging from freezers to non-air-conditioned back rooms.
