Job summary

VCA Animal Medical Center is seeking a part-time Client Service Representative to join our team. You’ll be the face of the practice, greeting visitors, answering calls, scheduling appointments and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.

We offer competitive hourly pay ($20.00–$22.00) based on experience, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and discounts on pet care as part of our team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Client Service Representative or similar role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to schedule appointments and manage front-desk duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer phones, and guide clients and pets to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Make outbound follow-up calls and reach out to prospective clients.
• Explain fees and process payments.
• Recommend and assist with products and services, including prescriptions.
• Educate clients on basic pet care and husbandry.

Compensation

This position pays $20.00 - $22.00 hourly, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.

Responsibilities

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer’s trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
