Job summary

Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community on James Island, SC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality personal care and support to residents in a premier senior living community.

You will work closely with nurses and the care team to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care in a friendly, collaborative environment that values teamwork and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing on the South Carolina Nurse Aide Registry.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Compassionate caregiver with a resident-centered approach.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support meal service, feeding, and hydration needs.
• Promote resident mobility, independence, and restorative care activities.
• Monitor resident well-being and promptly report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with vital signs, weights, intake/output tracking, and other basic clinical tasks.
• Maintain accurate resident documentation and records.
• Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver exceptional resident care.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment for residents and colleagues.
