Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to scan and/or enter numbers on register, lift and move goods, make change, bag orders, and perform special projects such as restocking, replenishment, cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at shift start.
• Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Operate register, tally items, handle cash, and give change.
• Bag items and manage carts as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Effective communication and understanding of company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to learn and use necessary equipment and tools.
• Complete the company's introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards, including attendance.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Possess necessary technical training specific to the role.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55% of the time, walk for 45%.
• Category IV physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.; static pull up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and handbooks.
