Overview

Serve guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections.
2. Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure quality.
3. Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, and mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes.
4. Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
5. Input orders into the register, create checks, and maintain accountability of beverages served.
6. Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and balance money.
7. Secure beverage and food items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.
8. Follow attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Good communication with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Mathematical skills for operating a cash register, making change, and understanding portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity for garnishing, handling glassware, and reaching stock.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate POS systems and process orders.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
• Effective working relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation

Salary Range: $11.00 - $12.00 Hourly
