DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Observe and follow all company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance in accordance with personal appearance policy.
3. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
4. Assist in training associates when certified.
5. Maintain effective communication within the department and organization.
6. Support management planning to maintain productivity.
7. Adhere to safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep work area safe and clean.
8. Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
9. Develop product knowledge in bakery items such as rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
10. Follow sanitation and food safety standards.
11. Prepare, proof, and bake products as assigned.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach overhead or to shoulder level when lifting.
• Work in hot/cold environments for short periods.
• Operate controls and handle objects and tools.
• Handle cleaning, packaging, and food substances.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Provide friendly customer service and assist with product selection.
• Package and display products per standards and automation.
• Organize bakery loads and replenish merchandise.
• Process merchandise with attention to rotation and inventory records.
• Sanitize equipment and prepare cakes, including frosting and decorating.
• Meet physical requirements of the position, with accommodations if needed.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 hourly.
