Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Observe and follow all company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance according to policy.
3. Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
4. Help train other associates when certified.
5. Maintain effective communication within the department and organization.
6. Follow management guidelines to ensure productivity.
7. Support safety standards, report equipment issues, and keep the work area safe and clean.
8. Treat all coworkers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
9. Develop product knowledge across bakery items such as rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
10. Adhere to sanitation and food safety standards.
11. Prepare, proof, and bake products as assigned.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach overhead or to shoulder level while lifting lighter loads.
• Tolerate working in hot/cold environments for short periods.
• Operate controls, handle objects, and use tools.
• Handle cleaning, packaging, and food substances safely.

Preferred Requirements:

• Provide friendly, outstanding customer service.
• Package and display products per standards and customer needs.
• Organize bakery loads and replenish merchandise.
• Assist with product preparation, display setup, and inventory management.
• Process merchandise with attention to product rotation.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory.
• Sanitize equipment following guidelines.
• Decorate and personalize cakes as needed.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
