DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Observe and follow all company policies and procedures.
2. Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance and adhere to personal appearance policies.
3. Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
4. Assist in training other associates when certified.
5. Ensure effective communication within the department and organization.
6. Work within management guidelines to maintain productivity.
7. Support safety standards; report equipment issues; keep work area safe and clean.
8. Treat all coworkers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
9. Develop product knowledge in bakery items such as rolls, desserts, cakes, muffins, bagels, coffees, and platters.
10. Follow sanitation and food safety standards.
11. Prepare, proof, and bake products as assigned.
12. Perform additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive hand and arm motions; standing/walking most of the shift.
• Lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Reach overhead or to shoulder level when lifting.
• Work in extreme hot/cold temperatures for periods up to 20 minutes.
• Operate controls and handle food and cleaning substances safely.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Provide friendly customer service and assist in product selection.
• Package and display products per standards and customer needs.
• Manage bakery loads and replenish merchandise.
• Maintain accurate records of production and inventory.
• Sanitize equipment regularly.
• Decorate cakes and personalize products as needed.
• Meet physical requirements of the role, with accommodations if necessary.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 per hour.
