Position Overview: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers in a positive manner, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assisting in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supporting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts and assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Prefer experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
