Job summary

MercyOne Genesis, part of MercyOne Health System, is hiring a Part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.

The 20-hour weekly, day-shift position requires a 2-year college program or equivalent, Iowa PTA license (or licensure within 1 year), and Basic Life Support within 6 months; no prior experience required, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities within the system.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients within Genesis Health System in a caring, professional and efficient manner - settings may include inpatient, out-patient, long term, home healthcare and/or outreach services
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Supervise clinical interns in an effective and professional manner with the guidance and assistance of the supervising physical therapist

Education

Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant license - if licensed in another state, must obtain licensure within 1 year

As a PT Assistant at MercyOne Genesis, you will:
