Job summary

Amberwood Estates is seeking an Activities Assistant to bring joy and meaningful engagement to residents. You will lead group activities, visit residents one-on-one, and help run events across the community.

The role requires compassion, energy, reliability, and a willingness to assist with mobility and setup. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and previous senior living or customer service experience is a plus but not required. On-site parking is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Comfortable walking, bending, and standing to assist residents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, celebrations, and special events.
• Visit residents one-on-one using activity carts to provide personalized engagement.
• Encourage participation while building meaningful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents throughout the community, including safely pushing wheelchairs as needed.
• Help set up and maintain activity areas and document resident participation.
• Occasionally assist with caring for facility animals as part of the activities program.
