Job summary

Amberwood Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Assistant to bring joy and engagement to residents daily. You’ll lead group activities, visit residents one-on-one, and help create a warm, welcoming environment.

The role involves walking and standing, pushing wheelchairs when needed, setting up spaces, and documenting participation. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred; on-site parking is provided and an employee referral program is offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, celebrations and events.
• Visit residents one-on-one using activity carts for personalized engagement.
• Encourage participation while building meaningful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents throughout the community, including safely pushing wheelchairs as needed.
• Help set up and maintain activity areas and document resident participation.
• Occasionally assist with caring for facility animals as part of the activities program.
