Job summary

Powder Springs Center For Nursing and Healing is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to lead daily programs for residents. You will work under the Activity Supervisor, plan engaging activities, and help residents participate in a variety of recreational and social events.

This role requires creativity, strong teamwork, and a patient, caring approach. Weekend availability is required; CNA license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in implementing the activities program.
• Follow the current activities schedule as directed.
• Provide one-on-one activities for bed-bound residents.
• Assist residents with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
• Complete forms, reports, and progress notes accurately.
• Identify and address residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.

We're seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic activities assistant to lead daily planned activities for our residents. If you're someone who values creativity, enjoys music and the arts, and can organize engaging activities, we want to hear from you. In this role, you'll receive guidance and support from our Activity Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Activity Director in implementing the activities program.
• Following the current activities schedule as directed.
• Providing one-on-one activities for bed-bound residents.
• Assisting residents with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
• Completing necessary forms, reports, and progress notes accurately.
• Identifying and addressing residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.

Requirements:

• A warm and caring personality.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Preferred, but not required, experience working with the elderly population.
• CNA license preferred, but not required.
• Weekend availability REQUIRED
