Brooklyn Public Library's Adult Learning Program is seeking an Adult Literacy Education instructor who is a dedicated, experienced, and skilled ABE, HSE, and ESOL instructor to prepare participants for the workforce, GED exam. All instructors are expected to be passionate instructors with good interpersonal skills committed to empowering adult learning participant to meet their needs. Classroom instruction incorporates self-paced, computerized instruction, small group learning exercises, videos, and provides classroom instruction in a variety of fields at specifically lower levels (TABE levels 1 & 2) and higher levels TABE 5 & 6). The ability to develop contextualized lessons using extensive writing and reading practice in the content areas of science and social studies using a standardized curriculum for each program area.
