Qualifications

  • Master's degree required for licensure and clinical practice.
  • Active Wisconsin licensure (APSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) preferred or required for eligibility.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care and community-based services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing).
  • Treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning.
  • Collaborate with case managers, nursing, psychiatry, peer support, and other providers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in treatment team meetings.
  • Coordinate care with natural supports and community resources.

Reports To: Community Case Management Supervisor
Department: Community Case Management
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Position Summary

The CIT Psychotherapist provides person-centered, trauma-informed therapy to adults enrolled in the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) program. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, this role delivers evidence-based individual and group therapy, supports recovery goals, and provides services in the clinic, client homes, and throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, CPT, and Motivational Enhancement.
  • Treat individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with case managers, nursing, psychiatry, peer support, and other providers.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in treatment team meetings.
  • Engage natural supports and coordinate care to promote recovery.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
Productivity Expectations
  • Maintain approximately 25–30 billable client hours per week.
  • Carry an active caseload of 18–30 clients.
  • Balance direct client care with administrative responsibilities and documentation.
  • Assist with CCS Service Facilitator coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Active Wisconsin licensure (APSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
Preferred
  • SAC or SAC-IT certification.
  • Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience in outpatient or community-based behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care.
