Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Plans, conducts, and interprets assessment of mental abilities and academic achievement for students in accordance with accepted practices in psychoeducational evaluation.
• Implements Mississippi Department of Education guidelines for gifted assessment.
• Keeps informed regarding current research in psychoeducational assessment, development, and practice.
• Provides school personnel with informational and evaluative feedback in verbal and written form, including assessment team reports.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law, district policy, and regulations.
• Follows district fixed asset procedures.
• Performs related duties as requested or assigned.
• Assists in fostering a positive school/office climate.
• Maintains a professional demeanor with colleagues, parents, students and administration.

Essential Functions

• Plans, conducts, and interprets assessment of mental abilities and academic achievement for students in accordance with accepted practices in psychoeducational evaluation.
• Implements Mississippi Department of Education guidelines for gifted assessment.
• Keeps continually informed regarding current research in psychoeducational assessment, development, and practice.
• Provides school personnel with specific informational and evaluative feedback in the form of verbal communication and written reports, including assessment team reports.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
• Follows district fixed asset procedures.
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
• Assists in the fostering and promotion of a positive school/office climate.
• Maintains a professional demeanor during all interactions between colleagues, parents, students and administration.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
