Responsibilities

• Guiding staff on the use of standardized process to assess and gather data to develop comprehensive profiles and needs for individuals at risk for violence.
• Design and implement individualized and group intervention programs based on best practices for violence reduction.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create holistic approaches that address underlying issues contributing to violent behavior.
• Collect and analyze data related to program outcomes, making adjustments as needed to improve efficacy.
• Psychological testing and evaluation.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Psychology with a psychologist license by the Nebraska Department of Health. Required clinical internship plus one year experience as a licensed psychologist with management experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Subject matter experience preferred.

Other

Proof of licensure required upon acceptance of a job offer. Must submit to a security background check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the pre-employment medical exam and a drug test. Once employed, all incumbents must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services pre-service training program.
