Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Psychologist - PRN for the San Diego Central Jail in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate holds PsyD, EdD, or PhD in behavioral health and a valid, unrestricted CA psychologist license.

You will oversee mental health services, conduct screenings, sick calls, and rounds, and collaborate on training. This PRN role supports a mission-driven correctional healthcare team with access to cutting-edge resources.

Responsibilities

• Active, unrestricted license as a Psychiatrist in the state of employment required.
• Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility.
• Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations.
• Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits.
• Conduct rounds in all units.
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care.
