NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Psychologist to join the ASPC Tucson team in Tucson, Arizona.

The role focuses on providing psychological treatment and support to inmates within a correctional facility, working alongside correctional officers and medical professionals. The position offers full-time or part-time options with pay rates from $60.00 to $74.00 per hour, depending on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in AZ.
• BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred) is required or obtainable.
• Experience with underserved and marginalized populations.
• Strong communication with diverse individuals including medical staff, correctional officers and judges.
• Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies and legal requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide psychological leadership, consultation and direct services to improve mental health and reduce recidivism.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to assess and treat mental and emotional disorders.
• Assist inmates in reintegration by coordinating housing, employment and resources.

Overview

NaphCare is hiring a Psychologist to join our team of medical professionals at ASPC Tucson, located in Tucson Arizona

Pay rates range from $60.00 to $74.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.

Full Time and Part Time positions may be available!

As a Correctional Psychologist, you will provide psychological treatment and support to the facility residents while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Psychologist:

The Psychologist is responsible for providing psychological leadership, consultation and direct services for patients to help improve their mental health and reduce the risk of recidivism. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to:

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in providing assessment and treatment of mental and emotional disorders of patients.
• Working with inmates to prepare them for reintegration into society, providing support for finding housing, employment, and other resources.
• Providing counseling and support to help inmates manage emotional challenges, cope with incarceration, and develop coping mechanisms.
• Coordinating, leading and participating in educational training activities related to mental health care
• Conducting risk assessments to identify potential dangers to inmates and the public, informing decisions about housing, treatment, and release

Qualifications

Experience / Requirements / Qualifications / Skills

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in the state of AZ
• Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
• Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
• Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
