Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Psychologist for PRN coverage at the San Diego Central Jail in San Diego, CA. A PsyD, EdD, or PhD in a behavioral health field and a valid CA psychologist license are required.

This role involves clinical leadership for mental health initiatives within the facility and collaboration with a dedicated correctional healthcare team. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge resources and contribute to high-quality care for a diverse patient population,

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted license in CA as a psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility.
• Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations.
• Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits.
• Conduct rounds in all units.
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care.
