8:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducts initial assessment/mental status examinations.
2. Consults psychiatrist if mental status reveals patient at risk for dangerous behavior with regard to self or others.
3. May conduct a full assessment including health screening, developmental, educational and psychiatric history.
4. Interviews patients and families.
5. Establishes a working DSM V diagnosis where appropriate.
6. Completes all necessary required chart documentation.
7. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with mental health team.
8. Provides individual, group, and/or family psychotherapy based on theoretical treatment models.
9. Supervision of staff, interns, externs and residents as requested.
10. Serves as consultant and provides clinical supervision to other clinical staff members as requested.
11. Provides didactic lectures to interns, students and residents as needed.
12. Writes progress notes and makes all appropriate chart entries regarding contacts for each assigned patient.
13. Serves as an integral member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
14. Provides leadership for discussion at unit case conferences, journal club.
15. Attends Psychiatry/Psychology Grand Rounds and Departmental in-service.
16. Coordinates assignment of therapy cases on assigned unit.
17. Acts as a liaison for psychology between behavioral health units.
18. Oversees treatment teams and High-Risk List.
1. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED; and
2. Two (2) years of post-licensure experience, one (1) year of which must have been post-licensure supervisory experience; or three (3) years of post-licensure experience; and
3. Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three (3) months of appointment.

In addition to base compensation, you will receive $4,855 annually if you are currently registered and possess a New York State license to practice as a psychologist.
