Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services seeks a Psychologist II to provide advanced clinical oversight of diagnostic and functional eligibility reviews, manage fair hearings, and assure quality for IDD PES unit in Austin. This role reports to the IDD PES Director and drives policy implementation, supervision, and stakeholder coordination.

The position emphasizes teamwork, professional excellence, curiosity, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Psychologist in Texas or by reciprocity.
• Experience managing/supervising staff or operating functions.
• Experience in Health and Human Services (HHSC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for IDD PES unit operations.
• Develop and monitor QA, fair hearings processes and compliance.
• Lead collaboration with internal/external stakeholders for program eligibility.
• Supervise staff, set goals, policies, and performance standards.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to leadership.
