Job summary

Judson Center in Michigan seeks a Psychologist to independently provide diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations for children and adolescents with behavioral, developmental and psychological challenges.

The role involves administering neurodevelopmental evaluations, using a defined battery of tests, writing reports, and ensuring licensure and compliance. The psychologist will work on-site and collaborate with Judson Center's multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree and Michigan psychologist license required.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and use of own vehicle.
• Must provide clearance of child abuse/neglect history.

Responsibilities

• Conduct autism diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations for ages 18 months to 21 years.
• Administer, score, interpret, and report neurodevelopmental and psychological tests (ADOS-2, ADI-R, CARS, SCQ, GARS).
• Schedule and coordinate appointments; prepare comprehensive written reports.

Job Summary:

The Psychologist will be responsible for independently providing diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations for children and adolescents referred to our agency for behavioral, developmental and psychological challenges.

Job Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Completes autism diagnostic assessments and re-evaluations for individuals 18 months to 21 years of age.
• Administer psychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations, including administering parent interviews, developmental/cognitive testing, academic testing, adaptive behavior assessment, and the ADOS-2.
• Administers, scores, interprets, and writes reports using the following required instruments as part of a battery of tests:
• Use standardized testing, individually, and/or a combination of, as a part of each evaluation, as follows:
  • The tests used must adequately evaluate behavior, communication and social interaction.
  • The tests used, when taken together, must include both interview and observation.
  • The list of identified tests utilized for the evaluations, include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • The Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS)
    • The Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised; (ADI-R)
    • The Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), Second Edition
    • The Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ), Current/Lifetime Version
    • Gilliam Autism Rating Scale (GARS)
• All appointment scheduling is completed by Judson Center

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Doctoral degree and licensed in the state of Michigan as a Psychologist.
• Must have a license (LP) in the state of Michigan for the coordinating degree and maintain licensure throughout employment
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License, appropriate insurance and use of own vehicle.
• Must provide clearance that there is no record and/or convictions as a perpetrator of child abuse/and or neglect on the State of MI Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry.
