Pay Rate:

$62.00/HR

COMHAR's Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) is located in the Philadelphia area. IBHS supports children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. Services are provided in various settings, including at home, school, and community, aiming to reduce or replace problematic behaviors with positive, socially appropriate ones, with family engagement as a top priority.

Psychologist Position Summary:

The psychologist provides evaluation and therapy services, monitors treatment plans and goals, and supervises staff as needed.

Psychologist Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct evaluations following facility, licensing, and third-party payer standards, including interviews and standardized assessments.
  2. Communicate and consult with individuals involved in the client's care, such as family, treatment team, school, and social services.
  3. Provide psychotherapy, including individual, group, and family counseling, to enhance emotional health and adaptive functioning.
  4. Document all work promptly and accurately.
  5. Maintain licensure standards and ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association.

Additional Duties:

  1. Participate in team meetings to contribute to treatment planning.
  2. Provide clinical supervision to staff as requested.
  3. Offer resources and consultation for needs assessment and staff training.
  4. Complete mandatory in-service training, including an additional 10 hours annually.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed psychologist in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years experience in child/adolescent mental health or addiction services.
  • Maintain current professional liability insurance.
  • Membership in a professional psychology or mental health organization.
  • Valid Pennsylvania psychology license.
  • Clearances for Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI, as applicable.
  • Completion of all mandatory in-services within three months of hire and annually.
  • At least 10 hours of additional in-service training per year.

Salary Description

$62.00/HR
