Job summary

University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an Associate or Full Professor to serve as Residency Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program in Madison, WI. The RPD will oversee a ACME-accredited residency with ~40 residents, balancing administrative duties with direct clinical teaching and research time.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with credentials for associate professor or higher.
• Wisconsin medical license or eligibility.
• ABPN certification or eligibility.
• Minimum of three years of educational and/or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the psychiatry residency program per ACGME requirements.
• Develop policies, curricula, evaluation systems, and resident schedules.
• Lead accreditation activities including self-study and program evaluation.
• Manage program budget and resources to support education.
• Design a competency-based curriculum and supervise clinical/educational activities.
• Recruit, evaluate, mentor residents and ensure safe learning environment.
• Foster faculty development and engagement in teaching and supervision.
• Maintain an active clinical practice and contribute to scholarly activity.
