Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time BC/BE Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Section Chief. Reporting to the system division chief of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, the section chief will lead psychiatrists and APPs in inpatient and outpatient settings, maintain a clinical practice, and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, preferably within a children's hospital system, but candidates with 1+ years will be considered.
The multidisciplinary team includes child psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and behavioral medicine physicians. Services include consult-liaison, outpatient clinics, autism center, and a new 12-bed pediatric psychiatric unit opening in 2024. The hospital offers comprehensive support, including psychology, psychotherapy, and nursing services. The position supports H1B visa candidates.
