About the Role:

This role is responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products. It involves managing and developing long-term relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals for targeted accounts in the assigned territory. The role also includes educating external customers such as physicians, nurses, medical assistants, case managers, etc., about the benefits of our products.

Your Contributions:
  1. Creates product acceptance and manages sales and product growth through education opportunities in targeted accounts.
  2. Effectively executes sales strategies and marketing plans to meet or exceed sales objectives via face-to-face and virtual communications, including in-office visits, in-service presentations, and speaker programs.
  3. Develops strategies to penetrate and segment the psychiatric and movement disorder marketplace, including Psychiatrists, Neurologists, Community Mental Health Clinics (CMHC), and Long Term Care (LTC).
  4. Uses promotional resources and budget effectively.
  5. Establishes and maintains excellent communication and working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional partners, including managed care, Medical Science Liaisons, and medical communications.
  6. Demonstrates honesty and integrity, modeling behaviors consistent with company standards, values, and compliance policies.
  7. Identifies territory-specific opportunities and barriers to ensure product and company success.
  8. Develops local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
  9. Follows the highest ethical standards, including FDA guidelines and industry best practices.
  10. Utilizes account selling strategies to meet goals by building relationships with and meeting the needs of all members of the patients' care team.
  11. Manages relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, professional groups, advocacy groups, long-term care facilities, payers, and pharmacies.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in science or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in specialty pharmaceutical or LTC sales. Experience with psychiatry, neurology, or antipsychotics is highly preferred.
  • Master's degree in science or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of best practices in the discipline and familiarity with related business concepts.
  • Proven leadership and ability to work in and lead teams.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High ethical standards and a strong sales and account management disposition.
  • Proven sales performance and experience in launching complex products.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory environments.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and experience in a start-up environment preferred.
  • Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory and have a valid driver's license with a clean record.

The annual base salary range is $120,600.00-$174,700.00, with additional incentive and long-term incentive opportunities. Benefits include a retirement plan, paid time off, parental and medical leave, and comprehensive health coverage.
