Job summary

Heritage Health in Idaho is seeking a psychiatrist to provide high quality behavioral health care in accordance with national guidelines and to support other staff in treating diverse conditions. You will diagnose, treat, and manage patients, and participate in coordinating care with the behavioral health team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate residency in psychiatry
• Active certification or pursuing certification with American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry
• Active medical license in Idaho and DEA registration

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care through diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management.
• Assess physical, emotional, and developmental status of patients and families.
• Prescribe treatment and coordinate care with the team.
• Counsel and advocate for clients; provide health education to patients and staff.
• Supervise and coordinate care activities of clinical staff.
• Participate in QA/QI activities and program development.
