Role Description

The Psychiatrist role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Idaho Falls, ID, with some flexibility for work from home. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Day-to-day responsibilities include prescribing and managing medications, offering psychotherapy or supportive counseling, and coordinating care with other clinical and community-based providers. The role involves working closely with interdisciplinary staff to ensure holistic, patient-centered care, documenting all encounters in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards, and participating in case reviews and quality improvement activities. The Psychiatrist will also support psycho-educational initiatives for patients and families, promoting mental wellness and resilience.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Psychiatry and Psychiatric Care, with the ability to provide evidence-based treatment across a range of mental health conditions.
  • Clinical skills in Medicine and Mental Health, including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing management of complex cases.
  • Experience or strong interest in Adolescent Psychiatry and care for youth and families within community and clinic settings.
  • Current unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) and board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-neutral care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-clinic responsibilities in Idaho Falls, ID with remote documentation and telehealth services as needed.
